We now have over 100 members from Leitrim and its surrounding counties, and sell organic beef, lamb and chicken through a network of local and regional farmers markets and directly to consumers.
Leitrim Organic Farmers Co-op was set up to:
- To provide market opportunities and outlets for members, adding value to their produce
- To develop other services for members, including the organisation of education and training
- To act as an advice centre for existing or aspiring organic farmers in the region
- To act as a lobbying group on issues of importance to the organic sector
Our services include production of a quarterly newsletter, the
North and West Organic Producer, now available as an e-zine, and a Smallholders Accountancy Service. Details are included on this site.
