The Co-op was set up with two categories of membership: Shareholders and Associate Members.
Shareholders paid a once off membership of €130 and hold a share in the Co-op, which entitles them to an annual dividend. They have access to all Co-op services, and also have voting rights at Annual General Meetings and can stand as Officers and Directors of the Co-op.
Investors in the Mobile Meat Unit in 2005 comprise a third category of membership. This project would not have been possible without their generosity, and investors also have access to all services.
Associate Membership is open to all interested parties (organic and in-conversion farmers) and currently costs €40 per year. As an Associate member you have access to all Co-op Services. Most are free of charge, including a free printed copy of the North and West Organic Producer. Some services, eg. Farm accounts, are provided at a reduced rate for members.
