The Leitrim Organic Farmers Coop was established as a cooperative organisation to support organic farming in County Leitrim and the surrounding region. There are currently a number of initiatives ongoing to help facilitate this.

• The Organic Producer is a quarterly newsletter produced by the Leitrim Organic Farmers Coop, in cooperation with the National Organic Training Skillnets. This newsletter is distributed to all registered organic farmers in the North West of Ireland, and is available to subscribers nationwide and to agricultural agencies in the Republic and Northern Ireland.  The newsletter contains many articles to keep members up to date on the marketplace and relevant current affairs. Combined with a well maintained website, we facilitate free small ads to our members.
• Active marketing of Organic Produce. The Leitrim Organic Farmers Coop promotes the sale of organic produce from its members, and has developed and maintained strong links between the producers and various outlets to encourage continuity of supply. It is continuing to develop future markets for its members. As part of this initiative, the Leitrim Organic Farmers Coop has developed a market for Beef, Lamb & other produce for the Coop.
• Training and Assorted Coop Activities. The Leitrim Organic Farmers Coop actively facilitates with other organisations to develop, promote and facilitate in training programs, farm walks, Organic marts, meetings and discussions, etc.
• Accounts and Planning Service. The Leitrim Organic Farmers Coop can also assist members with their accounts, planning applications and farm plans .
• We offer a Community Internet Facility for those in the organic sector and others who need it – : students and the unemployed (for projects and research) This is a low cost service and is based at our offices.
• Leitrim Organic Farmers Coop also offers photocopying service.  Available at reasonable rates
